Woke up to a lovely sunny morning, got up at 7.30, made a cup of tea, sat & enjoyed, Cooked breakfast, bacon eggs and toast. Sunday morning is lovely, more time to sit and appreciate things. Phone rings, its my son, Steve, asking me if I want to go to the car boot at Bodicote flyover (farm). We arrive at the car boot, its packed there, so many people and cars. There must be about 100 stalls & you can buy almost anything. Steve bought a music centre, I bought 2 old postcards of Banbury (Banbury is my favourite subject) & two books ‘Humorous stories’ introduced by Ronnie Barker & ‘Rose of the river’ by Catherine Cookson. The time is now 12.15pm, time to go home and get the dinner ready. Steak, roast potatoes, parsnips, carrots and beans. Ice cream and strawberries. Gosh, eaten too much. Time for a sit down & put my feet up. Not too much of a rest as my son Steve & his 3 children come to visit. Skye age 21, Saffron age 17 & Sebastian age 13. Kids like to get on the computer, so we 3, Gerry, Steve & I can have a good chat. How time fly’s when you have company, its tea time. The girls are a great help making the sandwiches & setting the table. We have a nice carrot and walnut cake as well. Gosh, I think my daughters son, Adam and girlfriend Aysha have smelt the tea pot, so its two more for tea. Still its lovely to have them all there. Everybody goes home about 7.45pm. Time to settle down & watch the telly – Heartbeat & then Albert’s Memorial starring David Jason, what a great actor he has been over the years. 10 o’clock, time for a cup of drinking chocolate & off to bed. Good night.
