Sussex Deaf History is celebrating Deaf people's histories in Sussex

The Sussex Deaf History website is a product of the Our Space project (funded by HEFCE) that explores the relationship between community spaces and Deaf people's health and well-being. The site includes: the first institution for the 'deaf and dumb' in Brighton, the first President of the British Deaf and Dumb Association (BDA), the first congenital deaf person to hold a Ph.D., and more. The published articles allows for the reminiscence of places, people and topics related to Deaf people in Sussex.

The site is interactive and visitors could add comments or contribute new pages to the site; the site has grown considerably over the first two months and is expected to develop further.

You can write it as the day goes along or at the end of the day. Choose either a typical day or a special day, but don’t forget to identify which it is.
