Morning photographs from Insole Court, Llandaff

Photographs taken by a female retired journalist 40+ living in Llandaff. Pictures were taken on August 12th 2010.

I spent the morning wandering around Insole Court, a Victorian mansion in Llandaff. I chose to photograph the gardeners as it was good to see five working on the bedding plants. 100 years ago, they had 12 gardeners. Two years ago, there were none, and the Court was faced with closure. Local people fought for it to be kept open and now it is run by Cardiff Council for public organisations to use, and for adult education. Its future, however, is still in doubt.
