Diary for Sunday 12th Sept.

Not a typical day, I have a friend staying with me and it is heritage weekend. We went to Oxford Saturday and again today. The situation is complicated by the fact I have, Polymyalgia Rheumatica (inflammation of the muscles) and can’t sit too long, plus aches and pains. We both had bacon, tomatoes and toast for breakfast, plus half a banana each. Kathy had tea, I had coffee. We got the 9.55 Thames train to Oxford. We walked to the station from my house in Evenload (no buses till later). We had coffee at Oxford castle café and a lovely lunch at St Mary university church (me – chicken in sauce + rice & veg). we both had creamy yoghurt with fruit and muesli stuff. The weather was good, we saw several colleges and the town hall. We got the 3.06 train back and the 4.00 bus home, which we had to wait for, sitting on a seat by Debenhams. Tea in garden, look at garden. Evening meal – quiche (from Marks & Spencer), little potatoes and tomatoes. Baths, I went to bed early (no TV), Kathy said there was a lovely sunset.
