A conservation day

Photographs taken by a 52 year old female Librarian from Finchley, London, between August 30th and September 13th 2010.

The Greenacre Project recently saved a beautiful old orchard from developers. The green space has a listed wall. The local borough council are considering turning the area over to the local community. Greenacre Project along with Brent Lodge Residents Association have formed a management committee: The Greenacre Nature Reserve (GNR). The following photographs show how the land had been neglected for some years and how the GNR got together with Clive Cohen, London Wildlife Trust and some BCTV volunteers for a conservation day. They've started clearing a path around the site so that a survey can be carried out.
