9 Months in our Garden
Pictures taken by Theresa, 50 year old Finance Manager from Sittingbourne.
Picures taken from January to September 2010.
These photos are of our home and garden. As semi-retired people we have found gardening great fun.
Our home in Sittingbourne.
Winter view of the garden, and a pheasant that often visited during the snow.
My wormery that I have had for 10 years, provides excellent compost for the garden and all the fruit and veg we grow.
This is our leeks that we grew. We have grown various fruit and veg this year, including, beetroot, carrots, onions, runner beans, garlic, peas, mangetout, apples, strawberries, tayberry and potatoes.
We also grew tomatoes, and these were the biggest. But not as many grew this year compared to previous crops. We didn't do very well with courgettes - lots of flower, but no crop.
In April we bought a portable hot tub. Excellent value for money, and so much fun! We try to use it most nights after a hard day day in the garden.
