Question 1. Give your reasons and analyse your motives for living in the district where you do live.

I live in Norfolk in a quiet little rural hamlet. I enjoy all the peace, wildlife and tranquility involved with living here - except the spiders! I moved to Devon to escape the outer London fast way of life, and then to Norfolk to be nearer my grandchildren.

Question 2. In what ways do you consider yourself different from your neighbours?

I only have one neighbour who is bipolar, which I'm not. They also drink alcohol quite a lot, which I don't. They don't have any animals and I have two large dogs and a cat.

Question 3. When you go into pubs, which bar do you use and why?

In the old days I would have gone into the saloon bar because of smoking but that doesn't affect me anymore as smoking is now banned in pubs, which although I'm a smoker I agree with. Now I'd probably choose the snug bars so you can talk without having to talk above music but occasionally drift into the other bar to play darts.

Question 4. What priced seats do you use at the cinema and why?

If I go I do tend to like to sit high up and in the middle so you can hear the benefits of the surround sound and see the screen without cricking your neck. I didn't know that cinema seats were priced differently - although theatre seats are. In newer cinemas you can pay to sit upstairs where there's more leg room and the seats are wider.

Question 5. What forms of food, drink or amusement are thought “infra dig”* or not quite the things in your circles?

I do not like McDonalds' quality of burgers - I would prefer to pay more for chargrilled BEEF burgers, whereas McDonalds tastes like cardboard. I enjoy fast food and takeaways, especially curries and kebabs. If I like it, I like it!

Question 6. Are you sensitive on the subject of accent and have you made any attempt to change your own?

No. I'm me! People think I have a London accent but that's because I live in rural Norfolk and anyone with a different accent is assumed to be from London.

Question 7. Do you make a habit of using the following words and phrases? If not, what is your reaction when they are used by others?

I use Ta for thank you and Okay. Tooleoo sounds pretentious. Old Boy, chum, pal and mate sound old-fashioned. I would say Bye instead of Bye-bye. Sometimes I use 'Cheerioh, then'.
