Mass Observation has been recording everyday life in the UK since 1937 through diaries, questionnaires and observations. Between April and September 2010, the Mass Observation Communities Online project (MOCO) expanded on Mass Observation’s tradition by inviting community groups throughout the UK to develop an archive that reflects life in 21st century Britain.

Here you can see contributions to the MOCO project as well as examples of material from the original Mass Observation Archive.

The Mass Observation Archive continues to work with community groups to record everyday life in Britain. This website will be updated with new material accordingly.
